Summer 2008 - Case Analysis - Follow Through for Lasting Case Success
"Balancing the occlusion with the T-Scan is a must," stresses Dr. James Downs.
In this article, he explains how the T-Scan III enables proper preparation as well as a
thorough follow-up appointment, which are vital steps in the restoration of a patient's bite.
Check out the entire case study in the Summer 2008 Edition of Aesthetic Dentistry!
Dr. Robert Kerstein discusses the need for more quantitative technologies in the area
of occlusal analysis and the inefficiency of the current use of paper marks to guide occlusal
assessment.

Emmott on Technology - Tech Tools
Dr. Larry Emmott discusses how state-of-the-art devices such as the T-Scan III Occlusal Analysis System,
can eliminate the problems associated with traditional methods of dentistry. He states that, "it is no longer necessary
for the dentist to try and guess which blue dot is too hard and which on is just right".

High Tech Bite as seen on
Dental Health Check with Dr. Linda Niessen
"Cracked or broken teeth can be painful and even lead to health problems. But an
innovative, high tech sensing device now can detect a condition that often causes
tooth fractures. News 8’s Dr. Linda Niessen has details in today’s segment of Dental
Health Check."
This study is the first of its kind to scientifically test articulating paper and its ability to
describe occlusal loads. The resulting conclusion: "it would be impossible for a dentist to correctly
pick the right mark from its size appearance" as there was no correlation between the size of a mark,
and the color of the mark, to the degree of occlusal force contained within the mark.
